Mission Plan & Values

Mission Statement

ProjectConnect is committed to restoring the lost art of good neighboring. We believe everyone belongs, and we work so that every person can discover the relationships, resources, and opportunities they need to live a healthy, connected life.

We believe people heal in community, not in isolation. We walk alongside our neighbors—never ahead or behind—trusting that relationships are the bridge to transformation.

Everyone has a story that matters. We honor lived experiences without judgment, and we believe our past does not disqualify us from purpose.

We show up where it’s messy—because that’s where the light gets in. We believe even in the darkest moments, there’s a way forward when we walk together.

We don’t need to have all the answers. What we offer is our time, our attention, and our willingness to stay—especially when it’s hard.

We partner deeply—with churches, clinicians, courts, and community leaders—because no single organization can build the kind of connected world we envision.

We don’t just aim for quick fixes. We cultivate long-term transformation through consistent, relational support that helps people heal, grow, and thrive.

At ProjectConnect, our conduct flows from our commitment to kinship, dignity, and presence. We don’t just serve — we stand with. The following expectations apply to all staff, navigators, interns, and volunteers.

Show Up With Integrity
  • Be on time, prepared, and present in mind and spirit.
  • Keep commitments — if you say you’ll do something, follow through.
  • Own mistakes with humility, not shame.
Honor Every Story
  • Treat all people with dignity, regardless of their past or present.
  • Avoid gossip, judgment, or assumptions.
  • Practice deep listening — let others define their experience.
Protect Privacy & Trust
  • Respect confidentiality. What is shared in trust stays in trust.
  • Only share participant information when there is clear consent or legal obligation.
  • Store documentation securely and share responsibly within the team.
Stay in Your Lane
  • Navigators walk with — we do not provide clinical advice, legal counsel, or case management unless credentialed and authorized.
  • Refer participants to qualified partners when their needs are outside your role.
  • Don’t make promises you can’t keep.
Prioritize Safety
  • Report any concerns about harm to self or others to your supervisor immediately.
  • Avoid being alone in private settings with participants.
  • Trust your instincts — if something feels off, pause and reach out for support.
Lead with Compassion, Not Control
  • Don’t try to “fix” people. Your presence is often the most powerful offering.
  • Avoid coercive or manipulative language or behavior.
  • Respect boundaries — yours and theirs.
Rep ProjectConnect with Integrity
  • Maintain professionalism and decorum.
  • Use social media responsibly and avoid posts that may harm participants or partners.
  • Speak from your role, not over others.
